Long-Nosed Vine snake

The Long-Nosed Vine snake, a native of Thailand, stands out with its elongated, pointed snout and slim body. Exhibiting a yellowish-green hue with dark, diamond-shaped patterns trailing its back, this colubrid snake prefers the seclusion of dense foliage, seldom straying into open spaces. While it's non-venomous, its beauty has sadly made it a target in the illegal pet trade. Alongside habitat destruction, this trade has escalated its risk, pushing the species towards endangerment. Recognizing its declining numbers, conservation initiatives are now in place in Thailand, aiming to safeguard the snake and its natural habitat from further threats.
