Elongated Tortoise

The Elongated Turtle is a species native to Thailand. It is an aquatic turtle that can grow up to 27 cm in length. It is considered an endangered species due to habitat destruction, hunting and poaching. To help protect these animals, Thailand has put in place several laws that prohibit hunting and poaching of the Elongated Turtle. In addition, Thailand has established a number of protected areas and reserves to help conserve the species. Conservation programs also exist to help reintroduce the Elongated Turtle into its native habitats, and to educate the public about the importance of protecting these animals.
