In major tourist spots like Chiang Mai and the islands, you won’t have any trouble finding ATMs. In remote areas, not so much—always carry some cash just in case.
No worries in popular areas; ATMs are everywhere. But in rural spots or on less touristy islands, they can be sparse. Always have enough cash for a day or two.
